Production Services
Media Advisers Asia can provide local scouting and story development for foreign video crews seeking to work in China and Southeast Asia.
Managing Director Matt Walsh has provided field producing, location scouting, content ideas and cultural insight services for some of the world’s most popular food and travel TV programs for over a decade. These programs include author and TV personality Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown, No Reservations and The Layover, as well as Gourmet’s Diary of a Foodie (aka Food Lover’s Guide to the Planet), Gourmet’s Adventures with Ruth Reichl, PBS’s I’ll Have What Phil’s Having, The Getaway, and Rev Runs Around the World.
From his base in Hong Kong, Walsh has escorted U.S. video crews to mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Laos and Cambodia. Two decades of experience in Asia make him uniquely prepared to provide a bridge between east and west and help producers avoid clichés, stereotypes and over-visited locations.
